• As property owners and occupiers within the local government’s district it is essential to adhere to the requirements set forth in our Local Laws and the Annual Firebreak Notice.

• The Shire provides kerbside waste collection for both general and recycling waste within the townsites, to view the map and details – click here.

Enrol to vote or change your address on the electoral roll, although it is not compulsory to vote in the Local Government Elections, we encourage all residents to vote in our local election and to have your say. Local Government Ordinary Elections are held on the third Saturday of October every two years. Meet your elected members here.

• Please ensure you advise the Shire if you have changed your address, phone number or email address so we can continue to keep you up to date on all relevant Shire correspondence. Simply send your details through via email to admin@cranbrook.wa.gov.au, visit the Shire Administration Office, send your notification in the mail to PO Box 21 Cranbrook WA 6321 or send us a message via the Contact page on our Website.

• Need to let the Department of Transport know you’ve moved? Fill and sign this form and drop off at the Cranbrook Administration Office and the friendly staff can assist you. Alternatively, if you have a DoTDirect account, head to the Department of Transport website and update your details online.

Local Authority licence plates are available at both the Cranbrook Administration Office and Frankland Community Centre.

• Do you have a cat or dog? Under the Dog Act 1976 and the Cat Act 2011, all cats and dogs are required to be registered with the Shire they reside and have a microchip inserted. For all information regarding registering your pet click here. The Shire Ranger offers a microchipping service, call the Shire to find about more.

• Here in Cranbrook, we have lots of incredible facilities for use and hiring out. Head to our venue and facilities hire page for a list of all our buildings.

• Are you wanting to live a healthy and active lifestyle, get into shape or just burn off some extra energy? We have a community gym located at inside Regional Community Hub on Dunn Street. To obtain a membership contact one of our helpful members at the Cranbrook Administration office or click here for all information regarding the complex.

• For all fire emergency information click here, including current burning period, camping and cooking fires, local brigades and how to receive emergency notifications from the Shire.

• Obtaining a PO BOX for your new address can be done at your local Post Office. We have Australia Post outlets located in Cranbrook, Tenterden and Frankland River.
