There is a compulsory weekly kerbside rubbish collection and a fortnightly recycling kerbside collection for all residents in the townsites of Cranbrook, Frankland River and Tenterden. Waste collection calendars are available from the Shire Office or the Frankland River Community Centre.
The Shire of Cranbrook has two Waste Facilities that are both locked and manned and are available to residents of the Shire of Cranbrook. Non residents will be required to pay for any rubbish deposited at Shire of Cranbrook Waste Facilities.
The opening hours for the facilities are:

Shire of Cranbrook ratepayers and residents are entitled to receive an annual waste facility pass which enables them to deposit waste at no cost, other than tyres (Please note tyre passes can be purchased from the Shire Administration Office or Frankland River Community Resource Centre).
This pass must be presented to the facility attendant each time they deliver waste. The waste facility attendant will record the amount and type of waste delivered together with their details including vehicle registration numbers.
Waste facility passes will be posted to the owner of each property annually with rate notices. Occupiers/tenants will be required to collect their waste facility pass from the owner of the property.
When a property is sold or there is a change in tenants, the waste facility pass is to remain with the property.
