New Chief Executive Officer Appointed – Mr Peter Fitchat
The Council is very pleased to announce that they have appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Mr Peter Fitchat. Mr Fitchat is an experienced local government professional and Chief Executive Officer and will be moving into the position at the Shire of Cranbrook from the Shire of Dundas in early November 2026. There was a lengthy and thorough selection process undertaken by the Council with a successful outcome. The Council is looking forward to working with Mr Fitchat over the next three years. Ms Linda Gray will remain in the position of Chief Executive Officer until Mr Fitchat’s commencement.
