Lake Poorrarecup

Lake Poorrarecup is the largest lake in the Shire of Cranbrook and is popular for swimming and skiing during the summer months. Changerooms and toilets  are available on site. Camping is available at the lake. However there is no potable water available at the lake.

LAKE POORRARECUP CAMPING FEES INCREASE

The Shire of Cranbrook advises that the nightly camping fee at Lake Poorrarecup  is $10.00 per night per vehicle. This camping fee is now payable for the whole year, not just over the Christmas and New Year peak period.

This is payable to the Shire of Cranbrook Ranger on demand, Shire of Cranbrook Administration Office, Frankland River Community Resource Centre, or on site caretakers who will be in residence during peak periods.

Please be advised that pets are not allowed at the lake sites.

  • Please ensure you camp only in designated areas.
  • Take your rubbish with you.
  • Protect the environment around the lake.

Fires are prohibited at the Shire of Cranbrook Lake's all year round. 

Lake Nunijup

Lake Nunijup is also used for swimming and has BBQ facilities.  How to get there: Turn west off Albany Highway at Kendenup onto Martagallup Road. Proceed north-west for 19.7km to waypoint. Turn east onto dirt road for about 700m to picnic area on lake.  Pets are not allowed at the lake sites.
