The Shire of Cranbrook and Western Power will be holding an Information Session/General Meeting at Unicup Hall on 21st November 2025 at 3.00 pm. This is to allow the Unicup/Muir Highway community to be better informed about the Western Power’s plan to transition that area to stand alone power systems. There are at least 20 farms that will be affected by being taken off the convention power grid and supplied with solar power systems maintained by Western Power.
You need to be informed about the change and about your options (like a payout so that you can buy and maintain your own system) and what you can do to mitigate any impact on your farm operations i.e. shearing sheds and workshops, so please take up this opportunity and attend the Information Session/General Meeting on 21st November 2025 at 3.00 pm at Unicup Hall.
