CHANGE OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – SHIRE OF CRANBROOK
The Shire of Cranbrook has commenced the recruitment of a new Chief Executive Officer, following the decision of the current Chief Executive Officer, Ms Linda Gray, to conclude her contract at the end of the current five year term.
Ms Gray will finish her tenure in September this year after an exceptional five years as CEO for the Shire. Ms Gray said, “It is time for a new Chief Executive Officer to take the reins and bring new ideas into the Shire, and value the wonderful staff that support both CEO and Council so well”.
Cr Perin Mulcahy, Shire President of Cranbrook said Ms Gray has made a significant contribution to the community over the past five years. “Ms Gray’s close work with the agricultural and business communities has driven key projects and strengthened the Shire’s prospects for the years ahead.”
Recruitment consultants LO-GO Appointments are working with the Shire Recruitment Panel, consisting of the Shire President, Cr Peter Beech, Cr Daisy Egerton-Warburton and independent member, Mr Steven Tweedie. Their choice will then progress to full Council for endorsement.
The Shire is seeking applicants with a strong, capable approach to building and maintaining respectful relationships with councillors, ratepayers, businesses and other stakeholders.

The position has commenced advertising and will close on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 at 5.00 pm (AWST). The process is strictly confidential, and it is expected that the announcement of the successful applicant will be made in late July 2026
