No. An Outbuilding (shed) can only be considered ancillary to a dwelling. Meaning, there must first be a dwelling on the lot before any kind of outbuilding can be considered, this includes sea containers and small garden sheds.

No. The Shire of Cranbrook Town Planning Scheme No. 4, under Schedule 4 – Special Use Zones state; (vi) Storage dams are not to be constructed on any Strata lot.

 

The Shire of Cranbrook treats sea containers as an ‘Outbuilding’ and as such, require the same approvals. An outbuilding will only be considered ancillary to a dwelling.

As outlined in Schedule 4 – Special Use Zones of the Shire of Cranbrook Town Planning Scheme No. 4, the Shire can not approve an outbuilding on a vacant Strata lot.
