Cranbrook Wildflower Walk

On Salt River Rd 300m past the gateway to the Stirlings there is a picnic and parking area on the left. The circuit walk is 1.7km long and is fully signposted indicating the flora and fauna to be found in the area. It has spectacular native flora including a number of spectacular orchids and is at its best in spring.

Orchids in Frankland River

At the southern enterance to Frankland River lies Location 1997. This is a special piece of diverse bush that provides a wide variety of native plants and opportunity for birds and other animals to inhabit this section of bush. 

There are over 50 different varities of Orchids located on Location 1997 and the in bloom from August to October.
