CLOSED – Development Application – Proposed Outbuilding – 1 Armstrong Street, Cranbrook

PUBLIC NOTICE

The owner of the abovementioned lot has lodged a planning application proposing a new outbuilding.

Under the Residential Design Codes (R Codes) the permitted aggregate size of an outbuilding on a lot is 60m2 in floor area, with a 2.4 metre wall height and 4.2 metre ridge height.  Where an outbuilding complies with the parameters of the R Codes, it doesn’t need planning approval.

This application entails variations to the R Codes as the proposed floor area is 64m2, and the proposed wall height is 3 metres.

Owners can apply for variations, however the applications are generally advertised for public comment.

Prior to determining this application, the Shire would like to provide the general public with an opportunity to comment on the proposal.  The plans can be viewed at the Shire of Cranbrook, 19 Gathorne Street, Cranbrook during office hours or on the Shire website.

Should you wish to make a submission on the proposal, your comments (in writing) will need to be lodged within 14 days by Monday, 31 March 2025. 

 Please note, if no comments are received by the closure date, we will assume that you have no comment you wish to make and the application will be assessed and determined on its merits and without any further consultation.
