Cranbrook Districts Motorcycle Club (CDMC)

Notice is hereby given that the Shire of Cranbrook has received a planning application for a proposed motocross facility on Lot 300 Sukey Hill Road, Cranbrook (known as Reserve 52284).  A Noise Management Plan for the motocross facility has also been lodged.  

The Shire is advertising both the planning application and Noise Management Plan for the motocross facility for 4 weeks.  The Noise Management Plan outlines alternative mechanisms for noise management in lieu of complying with prescribed assigned levels under the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997.  

General information on Noise Management Plans is available on the Department of Environment Regulation (DER) - www.der.wa.gov.au as DER has a ‘Guide to management of noise from motor sport venues’.  

The Noise Management Plan and documents explaining the motocross facility are available for inspection at the Shire of Cranbrook Council offices, Gathorne Street, Cranbrook during office hours up to and including Friday 5 May 2017.

Submissions on the planning application and / or the noise management plan may be made in writing and sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Cranbrook, PO Box 21, Cranbrook WA  6321.  Submissions should be lodged on or before COB Friday 5 May 2017.
